I was a bit leery in rerouting the electrical system on my now 50 year old CB500T. It calls for replacing not only the original rectifier but also the seperate regulator.
In reality it was much easier than I thought possible but did take some patience on my part to double and triple check myself each step. When done my charging system puts out a stronger and more consistent voltage throughout the rev range while making sure it doesn't over charge the battery.
