Functionally identical to stock, different appearance
This starter motor is a replacement for a 35 year old Honda motorcycle that Honda no longer supplies most parts for. If not for Ricks it would be a boat anchor now. The motor fit like a stock part and turned the motor over as easily as stock. I would have given it five stars but for the silver appearance, stock is painted engine black, and also the brushes are different than stock so future replacement brushes might not be available. I queried Ricks about replacement brushes but never receive a reply. I'm very satisfied with the starter motor even though it is obviously not a stock appearing component on a bike I am trying to restore to OEM. But it starts and runs like it should. I may just paint the starter if it bugs me enough.
