Honda Shadow 750. These springs smoothed out the ride and improved the handling of my Shadow enough that it is now comfortable. This is the third set of Progressive Springs I've installed and used, and I believe they are a worthwhile investment for any bike with weak front springs.

I installed both the progressive springs and a new progressive rear shock to match, set them according to the very easy to follow instructions and it brought the old 98 1200 Bandit to a new life! handles as it was meant to!!

I picked up a barely used old Honda Shadow Spirit 1100. Forks were spongy and soft. Installed the Progressive springs with 15 wt fork oil. Bike handles so much better and forks actually work as they should. Great product. I’ve used them before and have never been disappointed. Highly recommend.

Improved the front fork suspension. Had easy directions to follow. PVCpipe spacer needs to be a bit longer though but you can also cut the oem pipe spacers as needed.

These were installed on a 1985 Honda VT1100 Shadow. The original springs had gotten "tired" after 69k miles of use. The front end would dive severely when braking and the ride had become very harsh. The problem is that these sorts of things get worse slowly, so it is hard to notice. Once properly fitted I realized just how bad the old ones had become. These new springs fit fine and stopped the diving when braking (a little remains, but nothing even close to how it used to be). The only issue encountered was that the spacers, as originally cut per the instructions that were included, were far too long at 5". The ride went from bottoming out on bumps with the old springs to topping out which was extremely harsh. So I re-cut them per the included instructions for a "custom" fit and now the ride is quite smooth. They are now about 4-1/8" in length and I may cut them a bit shorter. If I go too far I can always add shim washers, so no big worry. This brings the normal ride extension height closer to the middle of travel and prevents them from topping out under normal conditions. And another benefit is that per the included literature these are apparently designed to operate without having to pressurize the forks, which is a great benefit. All in all, worth every penny. I will very likely be purchasing a set for another bike soon.Read full review
