Perfect fit, works very smoothly. No aftermarket sort of quality issues. I was quite suprised

The only thing I don't like is the color of the housing being white, vs the original blackish color. But, functionally it is great. And, I'm sure you could dye or paint the housing if you desire a very accurate restoration. Makes the ignition feel brand new, on top of being a great solution to aging or damaged contacts. Plus, what a great price!

    Wrong part for '82 CB650SC

The product feels like a quality part and the price is very attractive, but it does not live up to the claim in the copy. It does not fit the '82 CB650SC. Another reviewer points out the location of spring loaded ball bearings being different than those of his CB900, and that's the same with the Nighthawk. Find the assembly schematic for your bike and make sure the part number matches. My Nighthawk shows the part under "Controls & Brake " then "Handle Bar/Top Bridge"

  • Good for the price

Couldn’t go five stars because the tail light wouldn’t work after installation. I had difficulty installing before I realized my mistake. As such I’m not 100% confident I didn’t damage in some manner. I can’t see how I could have damaged electronics by struggling with plastic case but giving the part the benefit of the doubt, I’m going to assume I did something to it. Ended up using case of new and electronics of old.

  • Had to use new housing with old ignition switch.

I have a 1982 honda CB900f The tang on the middle of my old one is offset by 15 degrees or so from the two ball bearings and the new one is inline with the two ball bearings. When i instal the new emgo ignition rebuild it dont click loke it use to because the balls dont fall into the appropriate grooves in the ignition body. See picture as reference. It does work but dont feel right.

  • Cb 750 Honda ignition switch

Easy choice to rebuild this switch simple parts that fit and work on my 1977 cb 750 Honda . I would recommend this part for any problems with old worn out ignition switches .

  • Word of Warning

This switch worked fine, however, if you have an older bike, I would recommend just getting the one that comes complete with the lock cylinder. Turns out the detents that keep the switch in each position, are in the lock cylinder and not the switch itself. I installed this, and my ignition was still acting goofy. Thanks to some Honda FB group advice, I ordered the one with the lock cylinder, and it worked as good as new! The complete kit is only $15-20 more than the switch itself. You will of course have to carry two keys so you can still work your gas cap and helmet lock, or you can get the cylinder re-keyed to match your old key.

  • PART INCORRECTLY MADE, DOES NOT WORK CORRECTLY

The part is manufactured incorrectly, It causes the bike to shut down while riding.

  • Honda CB400f

This item will not directly replace the stock ignition switch on a 76 cb400f, but it can be modified to do so, and It's pretty unlikely you will find anything else even close. (The top one is stock, the bottom one is this product, they are both turned to "off")
