I have an 07 sportster the rear axle was designed for this tour. Specifically, it seemed the brass sliding piece fit in the Axl perfectly the two in an eighth inch hook was the perfect length. The material. However was a little on the light side in the shipping process it became bent severely I was able to straighten it out, but it could have been either made out of heavier material or better packaging, but overall it worked great towline my rear tireVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

The gauge is ok but it can be bent so you have to be careful.
The wire is about the same as a clothes hanger, the brass piece is nice so that it can be adjusted up and down as you need it. We tightened the belt side and measured that distance and used that measurement to match the other end of the axle on my HD Softail. I will continue to use it as long as I have to change rear tires.
