The foam in this filter is not removable from its metal and plastic cage and the company does not provide instructions on oiling it. It is much harder to get the right amount of oil on this filter than the "2-stage" models that can be oiled and squeezed. When contacted, the company suggested that oil needs to be sprayed on but provided no guidance as to how you know if you have too much or too little oil -- both of which are bad for your machine. This product is very poorly conceived. Stick to stock.
