One of Tori’s finest albums and biggest UK hit
This album is just epic in its ambition and breadth of sounds ... Taking the piano driven melodies of the first solo album and then - in turns on varying tracks as appropriate adding either a band (Cornflake girl) or full orchestral arrangements (Yes, Anastasia) to build a bigger sound to deliver the appropriate emotional and feeing . The instrumentation and production value on every single track here is absolutely stunning and perfectly placed. This record gives you everything on its production and lyrics ... it can be delicate or bombastic, tender or vexatious - somehow it is able to strike every note right and a very delicate balance for being accessible and immersive, yet inventive and experimental ... my favorite Tori album
