NotesDouble vinyl LP pressing including digital download. Tunnel of Love is the eighth studio album by Bruce Springsteen, released on October 5, 1987. Although members of the E Street Band occasionally performed on the album, Springsteen recorded most of the parts himself, often with drum machines and synthesizers. While the album's liner notes list the E Street Band members under that name, Tunnel Of Love does not count it as an E Street Band album and 2002's The Rising was advertised as his first studio album with the E Street Band since Born in the USA. The album won Best Rock Vocal Performance, Solo at the 1988 Grammy Awards. In 1989, the album was ranked #25 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 100 Best Albums of the Eighties while in 2003, Rolling Stone ranked it at #467 on their list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. "Brilliant Disguise", "Tunnel of Love", "One Step Up", "Tougher Than the Rest", and "Spare Parts" were all released as singles.

  • A must for your collection!

Bruce Springsteen Tunnel of Love is my all-time favorite album by Springsteen. I have many other Springsteen albums but Tunnel of Love is definitely Bruce Springsteen's pinnacle album. Every song is great and it is recorded well and I especially like this particular pressing that I purchased on eBay because it is a 2xLP which makes the sound quality of the music on the vinyl record sound much but better. You may have to sacrifice having only three songs per side as opposed to six songs per side, but the idea is to stretch the tracks out wider per side for ultimate sound quality. If you are a Bruce Springsteen fan and you have not yet heard Tunnel of Love in its entirety, then you're truly missing out on Bruce Springsteen's most moving album he's ever recorded. Bruce Springsteen Tunnel of Love Is an album where he does not use his long time backup band, The E Street Band. There are just a member or two from the E Street Band that show up to play an instrument or two. Other than that, Bruce plays all instruments on the album so it is truly a first time solo Bruce Springsteen album to say the least. It's amazing! I believe that Bruce Springsteen was saving all of his best material for his very own solo Rock album for this album, Tunnel of Love and it really shows in the songwriting and musicianship that Bruce Springsteen proves he can definitely go without the full E Street Band backing him up on a studio album. I highly recommend this Bruce Springsteen album, Tunnel of Love, to anyone who loves music and anyone who loves music should not be without this album in their collection!
