Banana Wind was the first original CD put out by Jimmy Buffett in several years...and a welcome one. Staying with the Carribean beat songs like "School Boy Heart", "Holiday", and "Only Time Will Tell" hit the mark if you are a fan. "Banana Wind" puts you on the beach as the sun goes down...very relaxing. "Jamaica Mistaka" is a song about a real occurance...as much as the Jamaican government would like to forget it!
I think this is one of the best CD's by Jimmy Buffet. Songs about the evil of record producers, having a good time just letting life flow by and also ome about the time he was flying into Jamacia and was mistaken for a drug runner. They actually shot at his plane several times. The title comes from"wind strong enough to blow the bananas off the trees!!!"

I was slightly disappointed in this CD by Jimmy Buffett. It was more on the boring side. It struggled to keep my attention. It is by far NOT his best CD.

Always a Jimmy Buffett fan. The tracks I liked the best seem to be more tropical instead of whimsical. It is different. The tracks that really hit home with me are; Only Time Will Time, Banana Wind, Holiday and False Echoes. This is my two-cents, regardless, as always ENJOY!
