GIVE ME WAY MORE WW2 COUNTER-SPY MISSIONS AND WAY LESS LOVE STORY, PLEASE!
Brad Pitt was just awesome! LOVED him in this movie! They should've spent about 70% of this movie on him being on spy missions, way behind enemy lines, barely escaping death and fighting it out with WW2 bad guys! I groaned at all the love story stuff. This movie has just about everything I could hope for. Great acting by the entire cast, with particularly compelling performances by Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard. The script, the photography, the plausibility of the story, the sound track, all work together to give the leading man and the leading lady an opportunity to shine, and shine they do. It is set in the throngs of WWII. This is an espionage dramatic thriller, but above all, it is a Love Story. A great love story. It is now a part of my movie library. Not as good as I hoped!
While the movie is entertaining it just didn't have the "stuff" that I was looking for. I am extremely glad I purchased the DVD, so I could replay parts of the movie as needed. Excellent Sci-Fi
The second time around I loved the movie. That's when I finally comprehended the intricate details and understood all the surprises. If only we could cash in on the Alien's use of non-linear time.
