This movie has saved many of my now friends, ask for help. Must see.
While this is a movie centering on the combat veteran, you learn about the many faces and fails of someone with PTS. PTS is not well understood and even therapist will tell you it is either simple (single event) or complex in nature (we push down past events). Many people are not driven to the extreme of the principle character, but 22 a day are pushed past him (VA figures on suicide). You will see what a little care can do and that nobody can move ahead on their own.
