It IS A Shark
I have owned many Shark vacuums, some good, some with poor features. This shark is smaller which I like, the suction is very strong (makes it hard to vacuum carpet) the on/off button is in a better spot, and it is easy to empty. Self-cleaning brushroll does work
Only had a chance to use it a couple times but I bought this because of the self-cleaning brushroll so I checked it carefully after each use. It picked up an enormous amount of pet hair (putting my old vacuum to shame) and I found only one thread from a throw rug that did not make it through the brushroll. I am very happy...so far.
