Did you ever want to build your own airline? No, not just manufacture the planes, but customize them with your own logo and color. Even name the airplanes after yourself or friends and family members. Now you can with Fly the Best!, an add-on product for the Microsoft Flight Simulator 98 (MFS98).
Previously released as Instant Airplane Maker, the title has been updated and released as a specific MFS98 enhancement package. In addition to the options for designing your own aircraft, Fly the Best! contains a hangar or two full of 18 accurately simulated major passenger airplanes.
Specifically, the airplanes included in the game are: three from Air Canada (A319-113, A320-211 and DC-9); Singapore Airlines' B747-400; the 1995 Finnair DC-9; Virgin Atlantic's B747-4Q8; four more A320-211's from Lufthansa, All Nippon Airways, Northwest Airlines and Ansett Australia and the Austrian Airlines A321-111. Rounding out the collection are two DC-9's Alitalia and Northwest Airlines and four more B747's from KLM (406), Canadian Airlines (475), United Airlines (451), Northwest Airlines and Japan Airlines (400s).
The game actually contains two separate programs to install: (1) Instant Airplane Maker and, (2) Fly the Best!, the latter having the aforementioned 18 aircraft. One note for the purists -- the list on the back of the box inadvertently lists the Austrian Airlines A321-111 twice and fails to mention the Northwest Airlines 400.
