Keep it original! The cheap replacements are junk and don't fit.
The factory petcock on my 2000 Kawasaki gave up and wound up hydro-locking (petro-locking?) cylinder three and flooded my crankcase with over 3 gallons of gasoline! First I tried buying one of those cheap replacement petcocks, but the sizes were all wrong for the fuel and vacuum hoses. I ordered this kit and took about 20 minutes to rebuild the original. Works great!!
