Players unite with Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and Lucy as they help keep track of Linus' blanket in Peanuts: Where's the Blanket Charlie Brown?. Linus' grandmother is coming for a visit and Linus wants to hide his blanket from her. When his blanket turns up missing, junior detectives team up with either Charlie Brown or Lucy (and are accompanied by Snoopy) to help find the blanket. This clue-finding adventure features seven mini-games including a book hunt in the library, a magic show with The Great Houndini, and a musical memory game with Schroeder, which sends Charlie Brown or Lucy (and Snoopy) all over town to track down the missing blanket. Using the mouse, players explore different locations within the game such as Charlie Brown's house, the library, the supermarket, and computer summer camp, searching for useful items and clues to the missing blanket. They must also keep watch over the Snoopy Meter which indicates when Snoopy needs attention. Anything within a room or location that players can interact with will change the cursor icon into Snoopy's paw. If there is something useful there, Charlie Brown or Lucy will indicate what it is and what it might be used for. Some items, like The Great Houndini hat, are used in combination with other items found elsewhere in the game. Items can be stored in the closet, located on a toolbar at the bottom of the screen along with a record of mini-games and other game controls, such as volume control and buttons for pausing or quitting. During the adventure, players are automatically taken from a location and placed in a mini-game. Players can choose a difficulty setting of "easy" or "more difficult" prior to beginning each mini-game and the adventure game continues after completing each one. Each game varies in nature, from Houndini's Favorite Trick where players reposition pieces to a Peppermint Patty puzzle, to Supermarket Rally where players take control of Charlie Brown or Lucy as they try to keep up with Snoopy through the aisles while avoiding displays and shopping carts. Throughout the game, players will learn that the blanket has had many adventures including being mailed and misplaced in a cleaning closet. Once players have successfully completed all mini-games, listened to all clues, and explored all the locations, they will be led to the discovery of Linus' beloved blanket. If at any time players wish to quit before discovering the blanket, they can save the game under the Snoopy file chosen at the beginning. For multiple players, up to six games can be saved for future play.
