This kit from Peco builds into a 15ft wheelbase bolster wagon. The wagon depicted here has 2 bolsters. A bolster is a block of timber that is laid across the wagon and supports the load. A bolster usually had a vertical post at each end in order to restrain the load from moving sideways. On wagons with a single bolster, the bolster would be able to swivel, so that 2 or more such wagons could be used together to transport a longer load, for example, logs.
