Tascam Brings It
I bought it because it was affordable and I own many Tascam products. I was pleasantly suprised by the quality of sound this produced. Warm and articulate. Unlike many very high end mics this pics up very well what you want it to pickup and doesn't pickup sounds you don't. Turn on the high pass filter and knock the room out. Sure a few thousand $$ on a mic can bring you some quality sounds if you have a room that is dead quiet. Most of us don't have a room like a very expensive studio. That's where a mic like this shines. It brings quality sound without the unwanted sounds in the room. So is it good enough to record in a studio with..... absolutely. A good preamp, proper gain settings and this mic will rival mics costing 5 times as much
