Grey Flannel Cologne a classic favorite
I was searching the Web for some favorite Colognes from the 60's and 70's and came across Grey Flannel which was a favorite of mine back then. With many of the colognes for males these days leaning toward the feminine side, Grey Flannel reminds me of the day of the great manly scents of the past. To me Grey Flannel displays a close comparison of English Leather, another great oldie which is very expensive if you can find it. For some, Grey Flannel has a strong, almost overpowering initial scent from the bottle and should be applied with some discretion at first until one can arrive at the proper amount to be applied without putting people off. After its on the skin for a while it settles down into a very nice masculine scent that lasts all day which is still noticeable even eight hours later and longer. Grey Flannel reminds me of the masculine executive image. The scent you would expect with an encounter with the wise, strong father. Masculine Not Flowery
This is one of the few scents that I am not allergic to, so I have worn it for years. This goes on strong, but in a few minutes it settles to a nice subtle fragrance that will last for hours. Masculine, not flowery. It is as relevant today as it was 20 years ago, without having the 'Old Spice-old Dad' associations. Very nice, I like it a lot.
