This was the first DS I have ever owned and it's awesome. When I saw the pikachu release I had to have it, I am a pretty big fan of pikachu lol. The graphics are great for a handheld, the new 3D feature takes a bit to get used to but once you do it makes the games come alive. The sound is amazing it's like 360 hd it's crazy. The color is yellow all over which is my favorite color, and I got a nice clear flexible case to go over it so you can still see the design. I got a pretty decent deal, it's not the retail $199.99 price I was hoping but I got a big discount so I got it for about that price anyway. So happy. Fast shipping, arrived in great condition. Compared to other 3DSes this one is Pikachu. But I have to reach a minimum character limit so anyway... I last purchased a Nintendo handheld back when Pokemon was originally released. It was a Pokemon Yellow Gameboy Color. Technically I didn't buy it myself, but someone did. Anyway, I guess something inside of me was drawn to this yellow pokemon 3DS and so I found one shortly after it's very limited release. Now I use it everyday to play Pokemon, just like when I played my old Gameboy Color. There's something about having a yellow 3DS with pikachu on it that makes life better. Seriously though, when you open it pikachu is upside down, the white stylus is nice, the cameras on the 3DS eventually look normal where they are. This 3DS XL is really cute and perfect for those who love Pokemon, especially Pikachu! This was my first 3DS XL, and my experience with it so far has been just perfect. I've heard that some people have come across problems (hardware or software-wise) and had to send it to Nintendo to fix, but Nintendo will probably not have the parts needed to fix it since it is limited edition, and you may end up with a broken 3DS XL, so buyers beware if you're okay with this possible risk. As for me, I've come across zero problems, and it doesn't seem likely that anything will break. For those of you wondering, it comes with firmware 4.5.0U (I bought the US version), so it will be compatible with Gateway. Better buy one as soon as you can before the price escalates to an impossible price!

When I was looking for a new Nintendo 3ds XL to replace my old boring regular 3ds, I went through many different designs and colors, however being a pokemon fan when I saw this one I knew I had to have it. Unlike other designs of the 3ds, this one was yellow inside and out and sported an adorable Pikachu on it. The buttons were also colored rather then being plain gray or black like most other designs.
