Dumping store bought for home made
I’m allergic to wheat so I’m always looking for good wheat/free alternatives. I’ve watched a few Utube videos instructing GF bread baking. One, using Pamela’s Bread Mix appeared to be very easy in a bread machine. I made my second load today and it is good, better than store bought. I’ve played with other recipes also but this video seemed to be much less labor and kitchen utensil intensive. And, it is. I am using a bread maker but I think you could be as successful in a bread pan/oven. I suggest you watch to see which bread makers are best for GF. Not Just Rice
My husband is gluten-free and so we've tried different brands of gluten-free baking mixes. Some of them are all rice flour and we don't like those. This "flour" can be used for anything from white sauce to meat or vegetable coating to bread. (We especially like it in banana and zucchini bread.) I Love Pamela's Bread
When I can get to the local co-op that carries it in bulk, I buy all I can. Since I haven't been able to go for awhile, I'm delighted to buy it like this & have it delivered. I get 3 loaves out of this size package in my bread machine with extra eggs, molasses, olive oil, flax seed meal and soy flour. One week I add a cup of buckwheat flour; the next a cup of sorghum flour.
