Simply put, I was hoping for the later model PS3 remote, the multimedia version that can control TVs and peripheral devices. I should have looked more closely at the posting. To be fair, the remote works just fine -- within its limitations. It only controls the PS3 features (such as playing DVDs or streaming shows like on Netflix). For that, it does the job admirably and that's why I gave it an "okay" rating. But this particular remote doesn't have all the features I was hoping to get, and that may have been my fault for not noticing the difference. The search I was doing specified the multimedia version, and this posting came up first -- so I probably only noticed the price and went from there. So +2 stars for having a working PS3 remote for a reasonable price, but –2 stars for not having all the capabilities I was looking for.Read full review
