DW 6500 Flat Base Hi hat stand
This stand is well built, and easy to set up and break down. Lightweight, and is comfortable to use. The small velcro tabs under the heel hold it in place well. The small, adjustable foot spikes are a nice feature, and so is the memory lock. If you are a HEAVY player, you would encounter a bit of sway in the stand, if the hats are placed fairly high up. I use 15" Paiste 2002 sound edge hats, heavily at times, and it is pretty stable. A little movement, but it's not distracting while playing, and it's not constant. If played lightly, to medium heavy, there's been no issue with movement. This is a MUCH better design than the previous version of this stand. The OLD version DOES NOT have the same design in the way the footboard is attached to the stand with the TWO WIRES underneath. If you buy, my advice is to make sure you look at what you are buying. That old version had major wobble and I could not buy it because of it. THIS ONE is very nice.
