Long lasting chain, higher cost up front but lower cost per mile by the time its done
I have only been using this for a few hundred miles so far, no problems. I bought Wippermann because a trusted independent lab test/review shows that they last significantly longer than the Shimano Ultegra I had been using. Even factoring in the roughly 40% higher price, the eventual cost/mile will be lower and less maintenance. Note that no chain will last or perform well without proper cleaning/lubrication, this is no exception. One thing that does stand out compared to most other chains is that this comes with a "quick connect" that makes it very easy to remove/reinstall the chain when cleaning. Similar to KMC link, so by including one (better than KMC), you save about $5 for that extra purchase.
