600-807 Dorman Transfer Case Motor New for Explorer Pickup Ford Ranger 1999 5sp. For parts: Some crud accumulated on the fingers which tells the motor to stop turning.... was intermittently functioning because of said crud. Purchased another motor altogether so I no longer need this one. Figure someone may need just a couple parts for theirs. Motor works just fine.... very clean inside no corrosion.

    Better than OEM

    The Ford transfer case motor that this replaces is not a great design to start with. Sometimes they can be taken apart and somewhat easily repaired (something that Ford dealers won't touch. They just change the $350 lump with another). This Dorman replacement is an easy swap for DIY owners. Just four bolts and a quick disconnect and you're done. Time will tell if it lasts longer than my twice rebuilt OEM motor. At a quarter of the Ford price, I'm money ahead even if it doesn't.

    Doesn't work.

    I bought it, put it on, then when I turned the truck on it switched into 4x4 high. Then fried the entire transfer case motor and won't come out of 4x4 high. Its too late to ask for a refund, so I'm screwed.
