The Blackberry Curve 8520 is a good phone. It has many features and a high level of functionality. Additionally, it is easy to use and figure out without the manual. However, my disappointment came when I realised that it only has 5MB of memory built in and it doesn't come with a memory card; there so little one can do with that much memory in this age of high quality cameras and wireless internet on mobile phones. Furthermore, I didn't like the fact that the richness of the colours of the display isn't as rich as that of other phones like the Nokia 5800, Apple iPhone, and other Blackberry phones like the Storm and Bold. Nevertheless, it's a great phone and while I won't buy one for personal use I won't stop another person from buying one for him or herself.
The Blackberry 8520 it's simply an awesome cellphone. Well, it seems that for some people if the cellphone it's not a touch cellphone it's garbage, but this little cell it's quiet amazing. First it's really simple to use, second the Blackberry asistent (when it's connect to a PC) it's really usefull tool letting my cellphone just like i wanted to function. The trackpad it's the most great thing that this cell has, besides you can hear music like if you were using a nokia musci with the butons on the top to manage it. The only thing i think that made this cellphone quit bothering, it's that it takes too much time to get it on. But it's an awesome phone. Tottaly recommended
Its purple, and sleek, and i love the way the phone has a Qwerty keyboard. It is so useful, and i love the design. It works perfectly and is brand new just like ebay said it was going to be. This phone is so useful because i can use the internet, email, texting, i can even play music! I love that it came with a free charger and car charger, those would have been expensive if I were to buy them on my own. I absolutely love this phone!!! I bought it because I hate touch screens and this is reliable and perfect.
I purchased this phone after my Blackberry 9700 broke upon accidentally dropping it while I was shopping. I didn't have mobile insurance plan on AT&T and I was a year away for my contract to expire. It seemed like my only chance to get another blackberry for a decent price was ebay, so I did. I looked at the 9700, the newer and older models. Also, I was reading about Blackberry 10 coming out the same year so I decided to buy this model and hold up until Blackberry 10 came out to purchase a current generation phone. The 8520 is a great phone, I know because my sister had one and her phones take all kinds of punishment. The phone lasted for almost a year (contrary to other phones she's had that usually last for 3-6 months. She later opted for a 9000. I purchased this one since it's about the same size as the 9700 with some key differences like CPU Speed, RAM and screen. The phone is great, the keyboard is not as comfortable as the 9700 but it does the job well, and the battery lasts a full day with moderate use of facebook, twitter, phonecalls and sms. I would recommend it to students like me who want a phone and not a toy that can distract you while in class with game apps. This is very useful for people who rely on their email. A must have for people with a small business.Read full review
The BlackBerry Curve 8520 features a responsive optical trackpad and dedicated media controls. The smartphone also offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a 2-megapixel camera, and good call quality. i dislike that it lacks 3G support and GPS. You can only save downloaded apps to the phone's main memory.
