Neat Idea, but Doesn't Work
I thought I was getting a super ball retriever over my old scoop model, but after several tries I have yet to retrieve a ball out of the lake. I can easily place the ring over the balls, but the spring mechanism will not release the trap ring. To practice using it I tossed several golf ball into my swimming pool and tried to retrieve them. I got the balls out only after many, many failed tries. The problem seems to be that the ring traps the ball at an angle such that the release spring can not feel the pressure of the ball. There must be a special knack to getting the spring to release. The old scoop models work much better.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
