Poor quality at best!
Although I am grateful for Crown building this tailgate to fit my obsolete Jeep, the quality is lacking at best. I had to hammer the seam flat all the way around the tailgate. I had to straighten the top ridge as it was pressed together either wrong or the dies did not match up. Either way it was poor quality manufacturing. The are where the latch bolts in had to be repositioned to accept the latch. The handle mount had to be straightened to install the handle. Then when I test fit the stiffening bracket that goes around the latch, it did not line up at all. So in less you have absolutely no other options for a tailgate. This one is not a good option if you are trying to put your Jeep back in original type of state. It would be a good candidate for a rock crawler or something that you just need a tailgate for.

Welded in nut plate came lose
I received gate and painted. Then I installed on vehicle and when I went to install the bolt for the safe catch strap the nut plate that was welded in from the inside of gate broke loose and would just spin when trying to tighten. I had to go in from the outside and re weld and repair inside the gate.

bent bottom corner
it was a good fit but it had been dropped on the bottom corner and bent it , I straightened it out best I could but still had to put some body filler in it
