Good deal and high power but the width is wider than 100mm, so I had to Dremel the axle.
Most front dropouts are 100mm wide, but this wheel will require you to widen your dropouts about 10mm. This isn't an issue for steel forks, but don't do this to aluminum or suspension forks. Since I used them in aluminum dropouts, I used a Dremel tool to modify the axle so that it would fit a 100mm dropout. Having done this, I wouldn't recommend doing this for safety reasons unless you install torque arms on both sides in order to prevent the wheel from falling off if the nuts loosen. The controllers are rated at 26A, so the power output is closer to 1000 watts. I wish the throttle was waterproof. When it rained, it got wet, and it went full throttle, so I had to turn it off. I'm going to have to do something to make the throttle water-resistant or buy a different throttle. The rims are 35mm wide internally, so you'll have to use 2 rim strips per wheel. Any tire should fit though. I wish the wheel was like a normal wheel at around 20mm wide internally.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not perfect but not bad
This 20" wheel was installed on the front of a long wheel recumbent and was the only 20" I could find for normal tires. It replaces a 26" 500 watt 24V rear wheel that was purchased from YescomUSA about 7 years ago. Even running this new wheel at 42V (10 cell 20AH LiPo) it lacks torque at low speeds and at 8-20 mph has less power then the old 500 watt wheel. It certainly requires heavier pedaling going up hill then the original wheel. Given power consumption over a fixed route it appears to be less efficient then the old 500 watt wheel. It is also very noisy at start up and requires considerable pedal force. The wheel's only saving grace is it is about 10#s lighter then the old wheel. Minor grinding of the axle and front forks was required in order to get it to install properly and torque arms should be used. I really like the new wheel electrical connector which makes removing the wheel and fixing flats much easier. Also, this rim is not double walled so the spokes won't be working themselves loose all the time.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
