Hoppe's Bore Snake
I have thirteen of these for different calibers of course and had one for the .204 caliber which was about three to four years old. This summer after a woodchuck hunt I was cleaning my 204 and while pulling the snake through the barrel it tore so I pulled the other end out the opposite way. Thinking I had the entire snake removed but thought I had better look through the barrel to be sure. When I tried to look the barrel I could not see through the barrel meaning there was still a piece hung up in the barrel. Good thing I checked. I used my steel .17 caliber rod and pushed out a Six inch piece that somehow remained in the barrel. If I would not have checked the barrel and shot the rifle something bad would have happened. I like these snakes to clean the barrels but I don't like them to tear inside the barrels. I bought a replacement but if a second one tears I'm done with the snake cleaners. the bore snake is so tight fitting I have to tie it to my Jeep and pull it through the 204 bore. I tried it on my 25-06 and had trouble getting it through it. I don't know if the wrong one was packaged or what but it is real hard to use.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

used for 22lr barrels
this is a .204 model but I use it for my 22lr barrels because I can pull it through easier than a regular 22 bore snake.
