wish I had purchased another dvd player
The pros are its very compact and the picture is good. end of pros !! Remote is very tiny and you can't see what the words are on it or which button to push. also when I start a movie ... the subtitles are ALWAYS ON, even if I turn them off in the beginning. I always have to go back and turn them off again. becomes very annoying. and it does not remember where you pause at, if you turn the tv off and begin watching the next day. nice little box
the dvd player itself is fine. the remote it comes with many times doesn't work and i have to press the same button several times. to replace the remote, you have to jump through many hoops instead of just calling up and asking them to replace the remote. also, it helps to use new alkaline batteries. oh, the cord on the unit is kinda short. i haven''t tried the usb port but i will soon.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great, but needs more buttons on player.
The only thing I hate about this machine is there isn't forward or backwards buttons on the console. So if you lose the remote, you have to watch whatever movie is in the player from beginning to end every time. I watch a lot of binge movies so I had to order this to get another remote because I lost the first remote to the one my mom had bought me for my birthday. And for whatever reason, universal remote don't program well at all for this model. I LOVE the USB feature on this machine! Absolutely amazing!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Bare bones player
This was purchased strictly to watch exercise DVDs. No bells and whistles, but, the remote is all I need. The print on the remote is very small for my nearly 60 eyes. However, once u learn where the necessary buttons are, that problem is solved. Video and audio are both very clear, no skipping or funny noises. The basic Sylvania DVD player works just fine.
We like the basic nature of this unit, but have had some small issues with the remote connecting to the device...nothing serious but a little annoying. Buy Something Else
I though I save a few bucks by buying this model, but I didn't save a dime! I wanted it to play movies via the USB port buy it will only play MPEG2 files......no movie files come in this format anymore and if you convert your movie file to MPEG2 the file size triples.
