Good part, but will not work on my Tisas 1911.
It seems solid and well made. Unfortunately it will not work on my Tisas 1911 that I bought it for. This is because the grip safety notches on the factory Tisas are not compatible with this Kimber part. I’m going to keep it for another pistol in the future.

Exactly what you need to class up that old Kimber Custom Stainless Classic LE
So Kimber used to use plastic mainspring housings in the 90s, maybe they still do. That being said, I recently reacquired my Kimber after having sold it 20+ years ago. Now the original plastic housing was holding up just fine but I prefer steel and a lanyard loop adds a touch of old school class.
