Use OEM to be 100% sure.
When it comes to a transmission that costs several thousand dollars, I felt it was best to stick with OEM fluid even though it costs more than the aftermarket ones that claim they will work with Subaru CVTs. I read too many stories of people using an aftermarket oil that then had problems with noise or slipping.
