    Quick and Easy Jump Start

Used it on a 2015 Honda Accord when I kinda accidentally opened and closed the doors too many times while cleaning it and ran the battery down.I tested the battery with a voltmeter and it was down to 8.5 volts.I connected the GB 40 to it and it started the car with no problem. It is of good quality construction and the clamps are well made with good strong spring tension.I guess the main benefits of it is how small and lightweight it is and can easily be carried in your car in the glove box or behind the seat or any compartment. You can see in the one photo it's about the size of a cordless phone but just a little bit wider. It is much more convenient to use than a set of jumper cables.Just simply connect it to the dead battery, turn it on and start the car.I definitely would recommend this item to any car owner.

    Not performing as expected

I have yet used it in order to start my car or motorcycle since I have it for only a few weeks. However(!) as a powerbank, it can maybe charge my Iphone once or twice max... Hence, its power does not seem to be long lasting as published... And that is not very reassuring... An additional thing that I find annoying is that you must turn the powerbank on (and off) in order to charge from the USB, unlike cheap chinese powerbanks that automaticly starts to charge once connected to the mobile phone and stops charging once dissconected. It may seem a minir thing yet if you forget to conect your mobile phone back the powerbank will keep on working and waist its charged power :/. On the bright side, its emergency light works great and the outer package of the powerbank does not feel cheap. In addition it is a relativly small booster that one can carry around unlike most boosters that are big and nit mobile and it seems durable. In total, I think the product could be much better for this price yet if it will perform and save you when you are stuck then it will do.

  • Tried it, Love it, Highly recommend it

I bought this some months ago but I wanted to wait until I had tried it before writing a review. I have a convertible car that I only drive in fair weather, about 1,000 miles a year, and it seems that every time I want to drive it, the battery needs a jump. I have to bring another of my vehicles around to jump start it and that's annoying. Before purchasing the NOCO GB40, I had 3 concerns. 1) I was concerned that it would not have enough juice to jump my battery the way I jumped it from another running vehicle. But I hooked it up, waited 30 seconds and the totally dead battery turned over - as fast as a jump from my other running vehicle. 2) I was concerned that the battery leads looked a little short. But in attaching it, they were just right and there was no problem reaching the battery terminals on my standard type battery. 3) I was concerned that the clamp ends looked a little wide and wondered if they'd make it difficult to get good purchase around the terminals, the existing battery leads and the tight spaces around each terminal. No problem. The clamp ends were not too wide to clamp around the battery terminals and they were tight, but not too tight to make clamping and unclamping anything but easy. In addition to it passing my 3 major concerns, I can also tell you that the built in flashlight is very bright and helps you attach the cable ends to the battery terminals. It is super convenient to have it attached to the correct end of the unit, now there's no more bringing my own flashlight to the task, placing it somewhere in the engine bay or positioning it somehow to light the work at hand, nor worrying it would fall into or through the engine compartment. I can also tell you that it only took about 2-3 hours to fully charge it from my computer's USB 2.0 port. It is compact, very nicely styled, solid and of excellent build quality and it fits into it's little carry sack quite easily. These lithium battery jumpers are very popular, as when I had to take that battery to my local auto supply store to do a warranty replacement, they were using one similar to it. But theirs was not as nice, it had no flashlight, and they were asking $125 vs. the $100 that I paid for my NOCO. If my other cars needed it, i would buy one for each car. But as it is, only the convertible has the problem because it is driven so infrequently. But I love it and I would highly recommend it.

  • Very very disappointed

I own a couple of classic race cars And for that reason I don't drive it daily. So for my 93' Toyota Supra which is about 1000hp 6cylinder 3L engine didn't think i would have any issues based on the reviews i read from others. I drive it Maybe once a week a week, so I bought this with the objective of hoping to have a portable charger with me for convenience. The charger somehow was able to get the car to crank a few times but after about 10 minutes to the battery charger seem to have been completely drained out. I was very skeptical of the true performance of his charger would after reading reviews before purchase unit I was convinced that it would have been great I get into job done but I was completely wrong. one thing I will say is that the light on it works very very well..it feels very durable. I would highly NOT recommend this charger especially if u have a high powered car maybe its great for a normal vehicle but completely useless to me smh. Very very disappointed, And I am one person never writes negative comments I always try to explore every possible scenario and be as honest and transparent with pros and con's. I just wanted to make sure no one else went through the disappointment i did.

  • A must have in every trunk

Sooner or later you'll need to have your car jumped and either jumper cables or that clunky bulky NI-Cad battery is likely to help. The NOCO GB40 is like carrying lightning in a bottle. It'll start your car before you can google "Laissez les bon temps rouler!" (Let the good times roll). Believe me there are only two types of people, Those who have needed a jump and those who will. Which one are you? The NOCO GB40 is what you'll need.

  • Fantastic

First time after charge. I first tried the car with dead battery. Not a turn or even a noise. I connected the NOCO up and went to turn the key. Vroom on the first key turn. Didn't even have to work to get a quick start. I am sooo impressed. Readers don't be afraid to purchase. You will not be disappointed. Rh

  • Outstanding Battery Booster !!

A coworker showed me the NOCO GB20 he owned. Our job suburban died. He took this GB20 out, i connected it to suburban. And in one minute the big chevy suburban was running. I was so impressed i purchased the Noco GB40. I have started 2 cars since my intial charge. It really is amazing. Does not take up any space. I bought a rectangle case for it. My wife got one for herself too. I highly recommend this. You just never know when you gonna need it. My big battery booster i own needs to be recharged after giving a boost. Not the Noco. Noco can start multiple cars, so long as it has battery life. Get one, you wont regret it.

  • i had to use it just after recieving it. it worked great never had luck with others. highly recomended

Before making an opinion remember this or no other jumper will start a completely dead battery. It must have a little life in it. Lights or horn. I have used mine worked great. I never had any luck with other pocket chargers. This thing is great. Everyone will need a jump sooner or later.
