This product works great for getting thin uniform tomato slices. You can skip a spike to get thicker slices if desired. Works great for the price. Well made. Points are extremely sharp. I found out the hard way.

I have used it on just a few fruits, but the quality of the slices seem to depend largely on the ripeness of the tomato's. What would enhance it's performance would be either serrated blades or a stack that moved laterally at the start of the slicing effort. Just how the blades enter the fruit makes a big difference in the quality of the cuts.
