The original hinges were breaking after two years of moderate use. Seems they used soft rivets to act as a high-stress point hinge. Poor choice.
I searched for a solution and found these. Simple design, easy to install (although some folks seem to have trouble). Predrill your holes and they'll go in easy.
I didn't have to replace my original hinges, I simply drilled out all the soft rivets and removed the original spring and adjustment parts leaving a plain hinge when I was done. Then, I installed all these door props and we're now trouble-free.
These work, and are slightly different than the ones they replaced. These are very strong and need to be 'pumped' manually BEFORE installation to loosen them up. However, on my cabinets, the screws are very small and if you are not careful, these will still rip out the screws as soon as you open the cabinet.
