The number line ends with 1, indicative of a first edition. On the front flap this title is in the last spot. There is an internal list which also ends with “Whispering Statue.". These are my favorite Nancy Drew books as I certainly appreciate their beauty.

SynopsisNancy and her friends establish headquarters in a seaside yacht club to investigate strange happenings in a book store and the disappearance of a marble statue., Nancy and her friends establish headquarters in a seaside yacht club to investigate the disappearance of a marble statue. In this story is the first appearance of Nancy's dog, Togo.
The book and dust jacket were in excellent condition as advertised. I read this book when I was a child. The Applewood edition is a reproduction of the original story written by Mildred Wirt in 1937. It holds all the mystery of the times back then, a time of con-men and swindlers. These original stories were about the real Nancy Drew, brave, kind, independent, and adventurous. It is in this book that Nancy first acquires her dog which she names Togo. Bess and George go along with Nancy to the sea side town to solve this mystery. This book as one of my favorites.
