I am baffled by boaters. Along the GoM, as a group, boaters will spend $85,000 to $100,000 on a fine boat and do-dad electronics to tag along on a fishing trip. Not many of them get a VHF two way radio. A good, easy to use, handheld VHF is insurance to help conclude a fishing trip that goes awry. This particular unit will broadcast position to USCG which can save a life if need be. It's a no brainer. Complete and total confidence in this handheld VHF 2 way radio.
