All the ingredients you are missing
I discovered mamajuana when I visited the Dominican Republic last year. I knew I could make my own if only I could find the botanicals. These have been good, if inconsistent. The ratio of spices is always different every batch, but the results are always drinkable. My recipe: one case (6x1.75 liter) clear rum (Bacardi Superior), one bottle red wine (Love My Goat), honey. In each 1.75 l bottle add 115 ml wine, quarter cup of honey and fill with rum. This will yield 11.5 liters of mix. Clean botanicals by placing in a pan of water, bring to a boil and immediately drain and spread on cooking sheet to dry. Place cleaned botanicals into a 750 ml bottle. Fill bottle with mix and let set for two days. After two days, pour into a holding jug and refill with more mix. Change out mix every other day. After all the mix has infused, blend it all together to make it even and bottle. Throw out the used botanicals.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
