I bought these because I only needed 4 banana plugs to make setting up and taking down my old speakers easier. I wish I had bought these many years ago, to do this. The two set-screw design was very easy to put my speaker wires into. The set screws easily hold the wires, and there is no movement. The black and red covers thread off easily to attached the wires, and go back on well, and have a nice tight fit once threaded back on to the metal innards. If I ever needed more banana plugs, I would definitely get these again. I did not have any problems.

They are very simple to install and make a solid connection. And they work with most wire from 12-18 gauge. The plastic seems a little flimsy, but I haven't had any problems with them yet. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for an affordable and easy way to terminate speaker cables.

Ive been using these Nakamichi Banana Plugs for 5yrs now and still haven't had one pull loose or received one that caused distortion or bad quality audio. I have a 7.1ch Yamaha Aventage receiver and a 8post wall plate that made the total # of plugs needed to be #36. Needless to say id rather had Monster or Rocketfish but there was no way i was paying $200 for banana plugs! I think i paid around $45 for all #36 and i have #14 of the red/black plugs for in the back of my avr and the plugs that go into the speakers & wall plate i used #22 of the aluminum silver nakamichi plugs. Made well & heavy duty, sounds great, removing & installing wire is simple and you'll never have to worry about wires coming loose. Very affordable and only other brand id suggest that costs alittle more is Mediabridge or maybe Sewell.Read full review

I have used these plugs several times for speaker connections to my audio amps. I currently have 16 plugs installed with no problems. The plugs are high quality and easy to connect to speaker wire: just strip back the wire, insert, and tighten the two set screws. I recommend you use the proper size screw driver or you may mess up the screw heads (which are standard slotted head). I use 14 gage wire in my system, which fits easily into these connectors. Larger gage wire would work as well, 12 or 10 gage. The covers are easy to attach after the wire is connected and the covers screw on over the front of the connector, so you do not have to worry about putting the cover over the wire prior to attachment. The covers are made of plastic coded red and black. The plugs fit tightly into my amps jacks and the covers are the right size as to not take up too much side to side space. You can pay much more for banana jacks, but these particular jacks are well made, double screws hold the wire very securely, gold plating is quality, and they look very professional and neat once installed in your system.Read full review

I like the all metal plug connectors, but are concerned about them shorting if anything conductive bridge the connectors or if they for what ever reason touch each other, these having plasitc sleeve's make that a non-issue and they are well built and easy to install.
