Best Polarizer Money Can Buy at the moment. UV filtering element in this PL filter is able to filter out annoyingly, over exaggerated bluish tone PL filter produces in digital camera. The final result is tastefully emphasized pleasant blue sky while removing lots of unwanted reflections off water and glass surface. Even in the shadows, it does bring refined calming effect to the picture. I love this filter, though if your need is to remove lots of unwanted reflection, I recommend you try an old Linear polarizing filter, which takes more out than Circular polarizer. Circular polarizer was introduced in 1980s when auto focus camera became available. Then current auto focusing system had problems when Linear PL filter was used. Today, auto focus system has become so smart that you can use a traditional PL filter without any problems. The industry wants to sell you Circular PL filter because they can charge you more than Linear PL filter. I have taken 100s of pictures with my old linear PL filters on my digital camera with no problems with greater polarizing effect than Circular PL filter. However, without UV filtering element built-in, discoloration by over emphasized blue becomes obvious with some camera equipment especially when dynamic range compression algorithm is utilized. In this line of pursuit for perfection or more natural looking light, I have found this polarizing filter to be very favorable for my style of photography.
