The spindle bolted up perfectly to my deck. The splines seemed a bit small because there was a slight amount of play between the pulley and the spindle where the splines meet. I was able to use some washers and make it so the pulley fit tightly and did not have any excess play.
Use my ancient Great Dane to mow 4 acres of lawn every 6 days on our farm....plus I use it every 2 weeks to mow 7 acres of pasture and cedar glen....I don't baby the old girl....I keep extra belts, pulleys, idlers, and spindles on my shop shelf and use what I need when something fails....spindles last 2 or 3 summers so the one I recently ordered may sit on my parts shelf a year or better until it's pressed into service....the one I replaced is, however, exactly like the one I just ordered...they last, are grease able, and work as intended
The spindles fit right in but I had to buy shorter blade bolts, and smaller nuts that hold the pulleys in place. Other than two trips to the hardware store they work great.
