I bought one tube last year to try it. Thinking it might not work.... Well it works GREAT. Tried to find again, thank goodness I found it. So, this time I bought 4 in total. Now my feeder doesn’t get full of ants and destroying the feed... a little goes a long way. doesn't hold up
i don't know if they reformulated the product or have changed manufacturers, because when i 1st bought this product a couple years ago, it performed as advertised; i could dispense it on the metal sheperds hooks that the feeders hung off of and the consistancy of the product remained relatively firm to stay put even on hot days. the last two batches turn to liquid in the tube on a warm day in the barn on the shelf .and wouldn't stick , but just drip off the hooks . i have to keep it in the refrigerator to keep it stiff, but it still just drips off as soon as the temp warms up. i have not contacted the company, hopefully they will read this and check their formula. after my initial use, i was so impressed i bought more for family and friends and suggested it to others; not any longer. i'm wondering what to add to it to stiffen it up.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Really keeps the ants away!
This stuff is working great. I have tried fish line, Vaseline, & water moats but nothing kept the ants off. I have been using this for over a week and so far no ants. While the pictures do show a thick substance that you put on your pole when I opened the tube of nectar fortress the product was pretty runny and felt some of it went to waste while trying to smear the gunk on the shepherds hook. But never the less this product does keep the ants away. Ants turn around and do not cross!
Sapphire Labs Nectar Fortress Natural Ant Repellent is the only thing we have found that actually deters ants. A simple ring of this gel, and the ants turn around and go back down the pole away from the feeders. The gel stays on the pole where our hummingbird feeders hang during the entire feeding season with no need to reapply.
