Blade Nano QX FPV. Lots of fun in a small package.

I got this little quadcopter to have some fun during the winter. I've flown it through all the rooms in my home and the signal is incredible. It's also very durable and weighs very little. Flight times are in excess of 5 minutes on the stock batteries and it's loads of fun although my cats hate it.

  • Top critical review

    Under powered short flights

For the price I was expecting more from this. It feels sluggish compared to a hubsan x4. Battery life is very short. 4 minutes flying around, 5 if you just hover, 3 if you fly with any speed. Having the built in prop guards is nice for saving props. After 2 week have already had one motor fail.

  • Learning FPV !

Great platform to learn the basics of F.P.V.. Relatively inexpensive gateway to the greatest innovation in the history of model aviation. Stable, reliable, and for the money, a decent camera system. While having more expensive F.P.V. machines in the hanger, this one inspires confidence. Thanks!!!

  • A Good Product, but could not affore the video link, which cost more than twice the cost of the quadracopter

I have a nano QZ, but it does not have a camera capability. This quadracopter is basically a Nano QX with a camera datalink. It is fun to fly, but the receiver data link to view videos costs over $200 which was too much for me so I am only using this as a quadracopter and could not afford the data link. Basically, I did not do enough research to understand the cost of getting the video link, so that mistake is on me, and not the fault of the supplier. The supplier did a good job. Due to my lack of research I learned a $40-$50 lesson because this quad cost about twice as much as a nano QX and I am basically using it without the camera, so in effect I bought a very expensive QX.

  • Just as expected

The quad arrived 5 days early which was awesome! Another plus was the battery was already mostly charged! I just bound it to my DX6i, put on my FatShark Goggles, and it worked out of the box! A couple things to be concerned about when buying something like this. 1. Motors: If it's at all previously used, you will have to be willing to buy extra motors, because you don't know how many flights the previous motors have been through and it only takes a tangled hair to wreck your motor. (That was not the case with this one because the previous owner took good care of it, but still just be aware.) 2. Antenna directions: The antenna on the quad might not match with the antenna on your goggles (you need a right hand cloverleaf to match with a right hand cloverleaf or left hand with left hand.) 3. Batteries: The batteries on previously used quads can be garbage, (this battey was not, again, because the previous owner took very good care of it) Be prepared to buy more batteries, especially if you want to fly for more than 4 minutes at a time. Other than those warnings, I'd say buy the thing! It was a blast to fly, and you can even let your siblings or friends fly it because it's so easy when on self-stabilization mode! I'd highly recommend it!

  • FPV Smallness/Madness

While I normally fly a 180mm, 210mm, and a 280mm (with some serious Cobra motors), I simply can't always get the time to fly or weather doesn't cooperate when I can. That's why I bought the Blade Nano QX FPV. I wanted to use my regular controller (Devo 7e with DSMX hack) with an indoor mini. It's become a daily thing to fly a few batteries and enjoy FPV anytime. I will say that the motors are questionable at best. Plan on buying an extra set, or three, along with blades.

  • Blade Nano QX FPV

This thing is too much fun. It's the perfect size for inside the house. As long as you kill the throttle when you crash it's very difficult to damage. It's also very fun to fly outside when the air is still. I loaned my first one to a buddy and I missed it so much I bought another one. The FPV goggles that come with the RTF version aren't the greatest, but they're ok. I fly mine with Fat Shark Attitude v3 goggles and the wider field of view helps reduce the feeling of tunnel vision. I can't believe Horizon Hobby discontinued these. If you can find a good used one, buy it.

  • Nano QX FPV

Fun QX FPV, fly about the same as the QX2 the different is that the QX FPV has a shorter run time.

  • Great little drone

This was a lot better than I thought it would be. Very durable it has an accident and no damage.
