I have a Fuji X100S with a 49mm UV filter to protect the lens. Because of this, I had to set the filter aside and its adaptor to fit the cap since the cap has female 49mm thread. I, however, realized that I still could use the filter if I employed a male-to-male 49 mm adaptor that I just by chance owned. This not only allowed me to use the cap and preserve the protecting filter but also enabled me to use the cap with other 49mm filter thread lenses I own. I fact, I suggest JJC would manufacture the cap with a male thread and at other filter sizes to allow its use with other lenses. As to durability, as the cap is made of plastic, I am not quite so sure. I hope the manufacturer reads this, since this would possibly improve their product lineup.

Very affordable lens hood for my old Nikon lenses. It says for 50mm lenses, but I also got it to fit on my Nikkor AF 35mm f/2 lens and there didn't seem to be any issues. It provides a good amount of shade to the lens. I also like that it prevents random things on the streets like handrails and the like from banging on the lens as well since I do a lot of street photography.

Can be mounted backwards for storage and allows lens cap to fit on in either direction. I am using on a Sigma DP3 works great.

It does the job. Well made, good to have both a body cap for my Canon P, and a rear lens cap for any of my three lenses.
