Craftsman Heavy Duty C3 1/2 Inch Impact
This impact was purchased as an addition for the C3 tools and batteries I already have. This is the newer model and has more torque than the previous unit according to research of both models. My primary reason for buying this is for doing tire rotations. I have an 08 Tacoma and torque the lug nuts to 100 ft. lbs. This impact easily breaks the lug nuts loose and will retighten them very near to the desired spec with little effort. I'm sure it still has more in it to get nuts/bolts tighter if needed. Good tool for the price.
There aren’t many name brands that provide both a low price point and a wide variety of battery-compatible tools. This is a perfect tool for a low-use DIY home mechanic like me. If you want power this is not the tool you’re looking for. Go with a Milwaukee or Dewalt even if it means having a new set of batteries. Wish I bought one 20 years ago
What a pleasure this tool is. 60 seconds to pull all 5 lug nuts to change a tire - worth it for that use alone. Great for suspension work - I just changed struts on a 17 year old Caddy, never been changed before. I tried a 24" breaker bar on the lower mounts, couldn't budge them. That was the reason I bought this tool, and it worked perfectly. Can't imagine how I worked on cars before without one. The tool is solid, the reverse button works smoothly. worth the money

Compact, powerful.

Great purchase
This 1/2 craftman impact has been a great purchase, is not as powerful as an air impact but it works, am a diesel technician (class 8 vehicles), I have been able to remove transmissions and clutches, shocks, torque arms, just remember is rated at 250 ftlbs of torque. This is my 3rd craftman impact, still working on the second one, About 1.5 years of use, I bought this extra, cause craftman no longer makes this impact. Used to use a compressor powered air impact wrench for light duty stuff, like changing wheels on the vehicle etc, but my compressor decided to take a dump on me. Quality Line of tools even if they are old

Poor choice
To week to remove lug nuts. I have a 3/8 dewalt that does just as good as this....not strong enough for the bigger jobs....be ok for taleing lug nuts off you broak loose with a Barr....I wouldn't buy another one. And I'm a craftsmans tool lover .Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
