Lightweight and Rapid Set-up with Snap Lock Levers on Carbon Legs...NICE!
This is a remarkably lightweight but well built solid tripod. My main attraction to it was the carbon fiber construction and snap lever type locks, which I much prefer for fast action in difficult to get locations. The swift action of the levers allows me to make adjustments with one hand and quickly without having to turn a twist compression ring like on my older Gitzo"s. I bought the model without the head and instead, mounted a lightweight Manfrotto 494RC2 ball head which uses the RC2 plate system that I've been using for years. The entire package is now slightly under 3LB for a very light and rapid adjustable tripod when out in nature. I had my heart set on a Gitzo, but in the end, I much prefer the snap lever action of the Sirui ET-1204 Carbon.
