Programmable down converter based on the BSFZ57G05
This tuner is a very useful tool to down convert L-band to a easy to work with IF frequency at 70MHz. I have made up printed circuit boards to connect up a LCD to a PIC chip to drive both sides of this tuner. This has become my Universal converter project, this Sharp module is very easy to drive using the 3-wire serial data bus and with it's 1 to 5v RF gain control.
