I originally had a couple skull bolts holding my license plate but lost one. Looked for a replacement and found these that light up - fun! Skulls are plastic and are pressed onto a metal bolt. I strongly suggest you use a washer behind the head to assure the bolt isn't pulled out of the head when the nut is tightened. Make sure the washer hole is small enough to catch the head of the metal bolt. I found wire thickness was good enough that the insulation strips without breaking the wire. Wires were plenty long to feed up into the fender wiring. LEDs are very bright for being so small. As you can see by my photo, I believe in adding lights to the back of my bike so I'm seen by the cars behind me especially since my bike is black. Less chance of being rear ended in the dark - I hope. These add some fun style AND add light to the back hopefully making me more obvious at night.Read full review

For bikes with a single brake light, these are perfect for adding more illumination in the back. They are about as bright as a brake light, so I wired them to only come on with the brakes, and added a couple of mini bullets for additional parking lights. Great combo. The wires are VERY thin, so I shrink-tubed them for protection.
