Vintage Harley-Davidson P-66A Starter. Picked this up several years ago in a box of swap meet stuff. Looks to me like someone has removed the paint, possibly by wire brush wheel, before priming and painting but never finished. Gear is in good condition, some very minor nicks but nothing that will impede use. Connected to a 12 volt battery and it starts, runs and sounds good but was not tested under a load (by starting motorcycle). Appears to just need painted and a new gasket, then installed but sold AS-IS since I can not verify performance.This is OEM Harley-Davidson and has a Harley logo stamped in it, see photo.
