Thoughtful Reading and Comforting
At first I felt like the author was dooming us all to failed relationships and was here to help us understand each failure and get through it. She acknowledges that misconception near the end of the book and explains the importance of "being full" emotionally in order to contribute and participate in a lasting relationship. Bottom line: We're all attracted to something in our partner that fills a need in us, but when that need is filled, the other features that were hidden behind our rose-colored glasses begin to show themselves and often are the un-doing of our coupling. She helped me see that I needed to place less blame on my partner and search for my part in our un-doing. Then, I needed to forgive both my partner and myself and acknowledge the positive contributions each of us made to our relationship. It was like soothing, healing balm to my soul.Read full review

Wonderful self-help for anyone going through the end of a relationship. Whether you are going through a divorce after 25 years of marriage or breaking up a short-term committment to someone, this book will help you answer many, many questions that inevitably you will have. At your very worst, this book will see you through. I actually got the book at the library and loved it so much that ordered a copy so that I could have it in my personal collection.

You'll feel better about your breakup, I did!
This is THE book to read if you've been dumped and your heart's broken. Provides understanding as to why your relationship didn't work out and gives you the information you need to make better romantic choices in the future. Easy to read and gets right down to the issue at hand.

Loved this book!
I am in the midst of a divorce and this book was recommended by someone in my Divorce Care group. I immediately purchased it and loved reading it! Has such clear insight and wisdom - in fact I liked it so much I got on the internet and ordered 3 more of her books on love/relationships. Highly recommended.
